Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Twigged Snap, developed by MitchellMaker, handles information when you use the app.

Information Twigged Snap does not collect

Twigged Snap does not send your saved photos, memory descriptions, recognised text, search information or app activity to MitchellMaker. MitchellMaker does not sell or rent personal information.

• No Twigged Snap account is required.
• No advertising identifiers are collected.
• No advertising is included.
• No analytics or behavioural tracking services are used.
• No location permission is requested or location information collected.
• No address-book or contact information is collected by the app.

Camera and photographs

With your permission, Twigged Snap uses the camera when you choose to photograph something you want to remember. Camera access can be managed in your device's privacy settings.

Photographs captured in Twigged Snap, including the locally created thumbnail used in Saved Items, are stored in the app's private local storage on your device. MitchellMaker does not receive or store these photographs.

Locally saved visual memories

A saved visual memory may include its photograph and thumbnail, the spoken memory converted into text, an edited description, the date it was created, recognised text from the photograph, visual keywords and locally generated information that helps you find it.

This information is stored locally on your device. Twigged Snap does not transmit it to MitchellMaker, and MitchellMaker cannot access, view or recover it.

When you delete a saved visual memory, Twigged Snap deletes its local record and associated photograph files. Deleting Twigged Snap removes its local app data from that device, although a copy may remain in an Apple-managed device or iCloud backup according to your backup settings.

Microphone and voice input

With your permission, Twigged Snap uses the microphone while it is listening to the reason a photograph matters or to a spoken Find request.

Twigged Snap uses Apple speech recognition services to convert spoken words into text. Speech processing may take place on your device or through Apple services, depending on your device, language and system settings.

MitchellMaker does not receive or store your voice recordings. Access to the microphone and speech recognition can be managed in your device's privacy settings.

On-device visual and language processing

Twigged Snap uses Apple's Vision technology on your device to recognise text and identify useful visual information in a captured photograph. This helps make the visual memory easier to find later.

Twigged Snap also uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models technology, when it is available, to help turn the spoken memory and visual information into concise, searchable information. A local fallback is used when the on-device language model is not available.

This visual and language processing takes place on your device. MitchellMaker does not receive the photograph, spoken-memory text, processing request or information produced by this processing.

Typed input

Saved Items lets you type a search and edit a saved memory's description. Typed searches are processed locally, and description edits are stored with the visual memory on your device. MitchellMaker does not receive or store this typed information.

Siri and App Shortcuts

Twigged Snap provides an App Shortcut and App Intent that let you ask Siri to find a saved visual memory.

Siri requests and related voice processing are handled by Apple. Twigged Snap receives the search information needed to look through your locally saved memories and open a matching result.

MitchellMaker does not receive or store a separate copy of your Siri request.

Purchases

Twigged Snap includes six successful saves at no charge and offers an optional lifetime, non-consumable purchase that unlocks unlimited saving. Purchases and purchase restoration are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

Twigged Snap receives purchase and entitlement status from Apple so the app can unlock the purchased feature.

MitchellMaker does not receive your payment card details, Apple Account password or complete billing information. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy policy and App Store terms.

Device backups

Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, locally stored app information may be included in a device or iCloud backup managed by Apple.

MitchellMaker does not control or have access to your Apple device backups. Backup settings can be managed through your device and Apple Account settings.

Contacting support

Twigged Snap does not collect contact information through the app. However, if you choose to email MitchellMaker for support, MitchellMaker will receive the email address, message and any other information you voluntarily include.

This information will be used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide support. Please do not include saved-memory information, photographs or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your support request.

Third-party services

Twigged Snap does not include third-party advertising, analytics or tracking software.

Apple technologies and services used by Twigged Snap include Vision, Foundation Models, speech recognition, Siri, App Shortcuts, StoreKit and device backups. These are governed by Apple's own privacy policies, terms and device settings.

Children's privacy

MitchellMaker does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users through Twigged Snap.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has sent personal information to MitchellMaker through a support enquiry, they may contact MitchellMaker to request its removal.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Twigged Snap's features, Apple platform services or legal obligations change. Any revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
